It's Back! - Friday Focus #4

Race 1 selection - BOY BLUE
Usually in the bottom cond. level at Hazel, you have to favor droppers. Problem is here we have 4 of them. Our pick beat similar 5 back and has had to face tougher in his last 4 starts performing evenly in those tougher races. Not alot of speed in here so he should be on or near the lead at every call. Stanley B gets first time B Dobson, and Karrydale Intrepid gets a huge post shift after an improved effort vs tougher in his last.

Race 2 selection - BOOGITYDOC BOOGITY
What a nice 2 YO our pick was last year. 3 YO debut here but a double qua indicates readiness. That was a fast qua his last race at Raceway (57.4). Regular driver is back for him tonight. Cooper's Niece is coming off of a scratch sick and 2 weeks off. She has been money since entering this barn, and if all is well, she will be tough. Jokers Lil Alibi was a good 2nd to a very tough winner last out.

Race 3 selection - TIFFANY PINE
Total stab in a race that can go a thousand different ways. She raced ok in a needed start in the slop here 2 back, then went on to improve her next outing at Dresden. She returns to Hazel in what should be better form then we last saw her. Roundabout Rose is the likely favorite with first time Billy. Rod's Chip gets post improvement.

Race 4 selection - BRIAR CLIP
She raced really well last week in my opinion. She blasted out to the lead and slightly faded to a tougher group in a needed start. She is well positioned here in this cond claimer, and it will be tough on them to chase the speed here. Nummi could be a longshot to consider. Speed is also her game, but she was in no position to use it in her last 2. Casey's Kolohe is 2nd time lasix and Art returns.

Race 5 selection - ARMBRO EXPRESSWAY
First time Billy is likely to take our value away. This horse looks really good at times, and he is coming off of a decent qua. He qualified out of necessity however, as he made breaks in his previous 2 outings. Is he risky at 6-1?? No. Is he risky at 5-2 or 3-1?? Very. NE Love Kandu looked fantastic last week, and is dangerous given his current form. YF Meemo is double dropping in class.

Race 6 selection - JOHNNY MADE HER
One of these nights, this horse is going to go ballistic on a field. We are hoping its a night where we get value, and tonight could be the night. There are numerous betting options in here, and our pick was loaded with pace last week with nowhere to go. We are hoping for double digit odds tonight. Doc's Moonlite is certainly going to be tough second start vs this class. Sailor Made it appears is starting to tail off. CC J Lo gets Billy back and has been sharp as a tack. Celtic Danser is a champion filly from a year ago, and should be tighter after the needed start. The point is, we should be no worse then 5th favorite here.

Race 7 selection - MAJOR INFERNO
I am officially filing divorce papers with Johnny G Thats Me and Miracle Sam. I have picked them twice in a row and they let me down. So I will go elsewhere this week with Inferno. When Billy had him 2 back, he raced well to just miss against a good group. No chance last week. Magical 3rd start off of a layoff should get our pick close. Happyville had to work like heck in her last two in the bottom cond level. Another drop for Thistrainsontstop. You may want to play a $2 exacta box with Johnny and Sam just in case.

Race 8 selection - GIANNA
She is going real good right now, and here is another that is making the magical 3rd start off of a layoff. Big Trip last week only to lose a late rushing Lindys Maestro. Not a very tough Open, so if she races like she has, she is going to be ultra tough. Son of Nordic is his own worst enemy. If he can stay flat, he can go. Pierre Lavec had a death trip in the billings last out. A strong win here 2 back.

Race 9 selection - DEAR CATERINA
I really think this mare is starting to put it together. Raced fine in her first try against Preferred mares last week. 2 back she outclosed a very good field. She has a short field to work with tonight, and with some speed in here, she should have some pace to race at. Jump Start raced 2 identical races last week. She makes the big brush and can't hold up in the late stages. Draft bunny seems to have that same problem.

Race 10 selection - LET IT BE ME
Working on a 3 race win streak, and has been impressive in doing so. You just knew it wouldn't take this talented barn long to figure this horse out. He meets virtually the same field he destroyed last week. Rhianna Davine deserves a second chance after getting pushed back in her last. Willy B Perfect minded his manners last week and was able to score a victory. Can he do it again??

Race 11 selection - CARSON CITY ROAD
Its going to be tough to beat this guy (unless he beats himself). Made a break in his 3 YO debut, but proved that was a fluke by qualifying in a purposeful 56.1. This may be a seek and destroy mission here. Keep the Change may have something to say however. This talented son of Keystone Raider sports sharp form, and should be right there if our top pick fails. Billmar Scooter has quietly turned into a very nice pacer in his own right.

Race 12 selection - PRVO
This was a phenomenal try first time out of the box in 3 months. He was en fuego in the final steps last week. He is an invite pacer when he's right and by the looks of things, he might be getting close. This is our best play of the night. The Mascot was shuffled to oblivion last week and came home with pace in a class higher. Rock Bottom could make some waves in his local debut.

Race 13 selection - MR DREAMER
Scored the win against cheaper 2 starts back and showed time improvement last week. Up in class from his last visit here but this field is soft enough for the taking. Wild Wild Westy is a concern with first time Billy and Blue Time Overdue will be on or near the lead the entire mile.

Race 14 selection - DONTPASSDAMUSTARD
He could have won that race by a lot more last week. He had plenty left in the tank when he crossed the line. There are other betting options in here, so a bit of value (2-1, 5-2) is not out of line. Winbak Noah is starting to come around. The addition of Billy makes this one a longshot threat. Noble Niner has been a solid addition to this class.

Race 15 selection - TRIPLE BONANZA
A win at this class two back and he finished with a little pace after being shuffled back last week. This field is soft so will string with "trips" here in the finale.
