New & Improved Friday Focus #5

We're trying out a new format here at the Inside Look, please let us know what you think!

Race 1:
Six horse field Friday's opener present us with a prime trifecta opportunity. We can safely throw out the 1 & 2 for consideration and we have a fairly strong feeling on #3 Our Girl Maddie to win. $2 Trifecta 3 with 456 with 456 ($12). As a backup, we will play a savor with #5 Gianna on top. $1 Trifecta 5 with 36 with 346 ($4).
Total Investment $16

Race 2:
Michigan Sired NW2 in the second and Ashley Paige is the best on paper. She gets a driver switch to Harmon and her only bad showing of the year was a needed start 4 back. She is a closer and the speed in here is short so will opt for an outer flow exacta putting her on top with others that could show closing speed. $2 exacta 7 with 269 and a backwheel 269 with 7.
Total Investment $12

Race 3:
Real solid field of 5 F&M Preferred grapplers and we are going to attack this from a form point of view. First off, we will eliminate #5 as she was soundly beaten at this class twice in a row. Nillabomb maybe losing her sharpness after a so-so effort at Hazel followed by a tiring try up north. Renaissance Woman is coming off of nearly a month. That leaves us with the two that dead heated two weeks ago. I dont think Kwani Key enjoyed being pressured on the front end last week, and a different strategy maybe in order tonight. While she did the work, Jamirotoy picked up the pieces. The landscape changes dramatically without Queen of Royalty. We'll go $5 exactas 3 with 12.
Total Investment $10

Race 4:
The more I look at this race, the more Roundabout Rose stands out. She quarter moved to the top and she wilted at the end. Even if she does tire at the end this week, it's hard to imagine anyone in this field catching her. Go Deep could try to turn this into track meet and this could very well go 1-2, 2-1 around the track. Let's try a $4 exacta 2-1. $2 exactas 2 with 478.
Total Investment $10

Race 5:
Going to give Bold Adventure another try from the inside. I can't imagine alot of speed flying out of there from the outside, so our guy should get a trip by default which was something he didn't get last start against a tougher group. $1 Trifecta 1 with 28 with 2378.
Total Investment $6

Race 6:
We have 3 class standouts here and it we're hoping its profitable to box them in an exacta. SS Katie had one crack at this level 2 starts back and got shuffled out of contention. YF Meemo raced well in her first try at this class last week. Eng Amer Benns Best added lasix last week only to break at the start. This is her first shot at the bottom. $2 exacta box 237.
Total Investment $12

Race 7:
This race is going to be a tough one to make money on. Wild Wild Westy is the best horse in the race and his odds will reflect it, but he is 3 for 43 in the win column for a reason. In fact, if you want to look at just win %, the only horse that is respectable is #1 Mad Match. First time Lasix last start and he improved dramatically. Let's try a $3 exacta box 1/4.
Total Investment $6

Race 8:
Trainer Marie St Charles is starting to heat up now, so this is the time to jump on the bandwagon of the underachieving Lunch Wagon Bob, who is much better then this class when he's right. There are a few betting options out there, which may mean we get an acceptable price (2-1 or better) and way too many options for exactas and trifectas. We'll try a straight $10 Win/Place on him in this spot.
Total Investment $20

Race 9:
Wattafine is trotting superbly at the present and there is no reason to think he won't sweep by an Invite bunch that isn't as tough as its been in the past. There may be money to be made in trifectas as the top contenders have self destructing qualities. $1 Trifecta 7 with 246 with 246.
Total Investment $6

Race 10:
This field is a pretty sharp bunch and a fast early pace is likely. Stonebridge Magnum had all sorts of problems in his last which was right after a violent thunderstorm in a severe slop. He rises in class but his best is still better then these. Once again, there are too many possibilities for second, so we'll try a straight $10 WP on #6.
Total Investment $10

Race 11:
I thought Dear Caterina raced real well in her last against a rock solid F&M Preferred. She is dropping down to a level she finished 2nd two starts back against another very tough winner. I think it's her time to shine tonight. $2 exactas 4 with 567.
Total Investment $6

Race 12:
We are hoping for value with Beach Streaker in this spot. He was going real good until 3 starts ago where he broke at the start and still raced an extremely live mile. Two back he never found a hole from the 9 hole. Last start he has no shot against a very tough field from the outside. He draws inside and the only solid speed threat is Happyville from the 9. We like him a lot and don't want to risk him in the gimmicks. $10 WP #3.
Total Investment $20

Race 13:
This race is pretty clear cut. If Cooper's Niece is anywhere near healthy, she wins it for fun. Start the Stampede is a clear second choice. $1 Trifecta Wheel 8 with 4 with all ($7) Just in case Cooper throws in another clunker, lets try $2 exactas 4 with 357 ($6).
Total Investment $13

Race 14:
Let's take a shot with #6 Tomorrow's Promise. He raced alot better last week and the move from post 9 to post 6 makes a huge difference. $1 Trifecta 6 with 3 with all ($7) $1 Trifecta 6 with all with 3 ($7). Total Investment $14

Race 15:
Bello Blu wins 2 starts back and couldn't handle the class hike last week. Back against an easier field and he draws inside again. He should be good to go $2 Exacta 1 with 345 and $2 exacta 345 with 1.
Total Investment $12.

TOTAL INVESTMENT FOR THE CARD $173
