Friday Focus #8 - 10 Cent Superfecta Edition

We received an e-mail from Jack T in Warren asking if we could do a few editions of the INSIDE LOOK where we give recommended 10 cent superfecta wagers as apposed to Exactas and Trifectas. OK Jack, we are going to abide by your wishes. The Inside Look for Friday, Saturday, and Monday will concentrate on nothing but 10 cent superfecta wagers. Let's see how this works out.

Race 1:
Friday night kicks off with an interesting barn change on YF Meemo. The 5 YO transfers to one of the leading barns at the meet who has had remarkable success with steeds in their first try. She did make a break last start however, so the best wagering strategy to take on her (being she is going to be an overwhelming favorite) is to either put her on top or leave her out. Let's see if we can make it economical to do both. 10 cent superfecta 2 with 456 with 1456 with 1456789. Total $4.50. 10 cent superfecta 4 with 156 with 1569 with 156789.
Total $3.60. Total Wager $8.10.

Race 2:
Tomorrow's Promise is going to be the choice here. We picked him his last 2 outings and he has raced well in defeat. The improving 3 YO had a tough first over trip last week, and gets leading driver Brad Kramer for the first time tonight. His main competition is Lindsay's Shark, who has raced well but is only 2 for 37 in the win column for her career. There are some longshot possibilities in here as well. Caseys Kolohe really improved last out with Carlson against a very tough field. Let's Try a 10 cent superfecta box 12369.
Total $12.

Race 3:
No 10 cent superfecta wagering available in this race but it should be an entertaining affair. Wattafine has never been better as he picked up his 4th win in his last 5 races last week in another overpowering performance. Tonight, he has to contend with track record holder Home Stretch, the ultra talented Son of Nordic, and the veteran Armbro Approach. Play close attention to Armbro tonight, as he appears to be winding back into the form that won him alot of races at this level over the past few years.

Race 4:
The question here is how can we make money in the 10 cent superfecta bet if Real Fast Moni wins the race. She is going to be a heavy favorite and that coupled with the fact that the field size is only 7 makes it real tough. Spicy Spider has been racing against a lot tougher competition, so she could come forward here at a real big price. We don't want to invest too much. Let's go 10 cent super 2 with 3 with all with all.
Wager $2.00 Total $2.00

Race 5:
Now we can make some money here because this one is wide open so we have to be creative. Personally, I like Halldor. This is her 5th start off of a layoff and she has had really bad trips her last 3 starts. I think she is sitting on a big enough effort to beat these guys and gals even from the 9 hole. SF Ciro went a little to fast to the half on his speed mission last out against tougher. He should be better tonight. Also look for a big turnaround from AB's Super Hall as well. 10 cent super 589 with 589 with 123589 with ALL.
Total $14.40.

Race 6:
Bar K Artistic is the likely favorite coming off of a good qualifier but he doesn't seem to be reliable at the price were going to get offered. I think Triple Bonanza has a big shot from the rail. We should get a decent trip here and in this race, thats maybe all you need. 10 cent super 1 with 2678 with 25678 with 235678. Wager $6.40. 10 cent super 5 with 78 with 12678 with 12678.
Wager $2.40. Total $9.00

Race 7:
The outer three horses in this race is where the power lies without question. The outside post may effect Jamirotoy the most. Her racing style depends on tactical speed and striking position, and thats something she will have to work for tonight. So were going to focus around Nillabomb and Kwani Key and hopefully we can get some shots to fall underneath to boost the price. 10 cent super 67 with 15678 with 15678 with 15678.
Total $4.80.

Race 8:
It appears to be a two horse race and it will be a one horse race if Dr Dexter performs like he did last week. He is a better horse then what you normally see in the bottom cond level and he may have showed the world he feels good again. If it was a flash in the pan, then Boy Blue should be the one to pick up the pieces off the drop in class. 10 cent super 48 with 12489 with 124589 with 124589.
Total $9.60.

Race 9:
No 10 cent superfecta wagering available here but a nice group of Filly and Mare trotters. Our Girl Maddie could be an upsetter. She put it all together 2 weeks back with a big rush to get the job done. Broke at the start last week and was able to close for a check. If she can stay away from the hops early, this talented 4 YO can score the upset here over favorites Gianna and Keyanna Rose.

Race 10:
What a tough race this is. We went with Keep the Change last week and we are going to do it again. He has alot of ability and it appears he is still learning his craft, as it still appears he races greenly sometimes. Should be a part of the cover flow again and it appears that the probable favorites are suffering from deteriarating form right now, so this might be the opportunity to go for the downs. 10 cent super 5 with 379 with 123579 with 123579.
Total $4.80.

Race 11:
Doc's Moonlite is going to be as tough as nails with the double drop in class. She has a big late kick and is obviously a little overmatched against the Preferreds. 10 cent super 8 with 12357 with 123457 with 123457.
Total $4.80.

Race 12:
We really liked CLear the Decks last week and he could not catch Cooper's Niece in the late stages. She gets post improvement and she will be tough in here. Bling it On also gets post improvement here as well. Also watch the improving Mad Match. 10 cent super 28 with 2468 with 24568 with 1245678.
Total $7.20.

Race 13:
Nowthatsaplanman is coming off of 2 sharp races at Raceway where he looked dominating. Post 9 however makes it a little interesting, although I still think he rates the nod over top contender Lunch Wagon Bob, who has most certainly been underachieving in 2009. Also, watch Thistraindontstop from the rail. 10 cent super 169 with 169 with 146789 with 146789.
Total $7.20.

Race 14:
Another wide open affair so we are going to try and be creative in our supers. Minks Laststampede was shuffled out of contention last week against a heavily favored Age Of Consent. Wash Out is interesting. He is coming off of a good Dresden qualifier and an impossible London journey against tougher. 10 super 37 with 137 with all with all.
Total $16.80.

Race 15:
I love Givemethelead in this spot. Closed very well late last week and draws inside again. Expect a more aggresive effort and certainly don't count on 40-1 this week. 10 super 2 with 15689 with 15689 with 15689.
Total $4.80.

Total Investment:
$105.50
