Monday Meltdown #7 - WPS Edition

Final day for Across the Board Edition!

Race 1:
Going to be tough to beat Grand Hallway from the rail. First over last week against a tougher field. Gets an easy spot with Wallis returning. Muscles Kash could improve with the better post. Benn's Legend will have his work cut out for him from out here.
$2 WPS 1

Race 2:
Sir Stormy Knight was driven aggressively first out the box last week and tired in the late stages. Draws the rail and with the speed he showed his first start, he should be in line for a good trip from the rail. Economize will probably be the betting favorite from a top barn whos specialty is young horses. First time Wallis on Economize will drive his value down significantly.
$2 WPS 1

Race 3:
For the first time in a long time, Sluggers Brother did not tire last week. His 30.3 last quarter was his best by far in a long time. Obviously has speed to gain early position and that is invaluable in a race such as this. SF Foxy is the one to beat for first time Wally Mac Jr.
$2 WPS 6

Race 4:
Going to take a shot with A Sign of Rose in this spot. She was part of a pace that was pedestrian like at Raceway last time out and she tried to re-rally after she was cleared but end up a bit short. This is following a real sharp effort. First time Wallis and this field is a bit tougher. Not tough enough to turn down the value were likely to get, however.
$2 WPS 2

Race 5:
Going to be tough to beat Kerrydale Intrepid in this spot and we aren't going to try. Beast this level 3 starts back and that was a much better field then we see here. Last 2 starts battled tougher. This is an easy spot and although there is no value here whatsoever, we cannot go elsewhere.
$2 WPS 2

Race 6:
Going to hope Grouchy Old Man can make a return to the form he had back in late May and early June to conquer this field. If he decides to leave, he could get a real good trip behind the expected speed of My Boy Jeff. Last time we saw the Grouch here, he raced pretty well against higher claimers. Johnny C can be dangerous in this spot as well, as this top barn is heating up again.
$2 WPS 4

Race 7:
Our pick is Rosemarie. Post makes price and with JB's Double Desire in questionable form, it really makes it a wide open affair. She does have some versatility now and can race from off the trot some. Obviously we will need some racing luck from post 9 but we'll take a shot for a price.
$2 WPS 9

Race 8:
Going to take a shot with Bold Raider. His form is extremely questionable at the present however he has been facing some very strong competition. Eventually a horse with this past performance pattern drops down the condition ladder and once he gets cheap enough the wake up effort occurs and that's what were hoping for here. Not crazy about anyone else in here also. Price will be right.
$2 WPS 4

Race 9:
Its Benn Good drops in class and will have plenty of speed to race at here tonight. Decided speed Super Donut and Don't Be That Way figure to set a good clip early on and our charge may be able to win this thing from second over.
$2 WPS 3

Race 10:
Some sharp horses in here but we are going to go with SBD First Blood. Showed something last week he really hasn't shown us before and that's a good late kick. That is certainly a sign of a sharp horse. He got along real well with Wallis who returns to the bike tonight. Cooper's Niece and Howdy Partner are also extremely sharp.
$2 WPS 4

Race 11:
T Red had a very tough trip last out after a decisive victory two starts back. Goes from post 9 all the way to post 1 and first time Wallis (hope he has a big night). As a matter of fact, 3 out of the last 5 times saw our charge draw post 9. He's back against similar and has a real big shot tonight.
$2 WPS 1

Race 12:
After Romeo Ranger's big victory last week (albeit against easier), the way he won it tells me that the hike in class won't be no problem. Carlson sticks with and thats great news. Will have to beat class mainstay Winsome Wonder who's form is solid right now.
$2 WPS 5

Race 13:
Like Give Me The Money in this situation. Was roughed up 2 starts ago and never left the rail in his last. We believe this pacer has some ability and is sitting on a top effort here tonight. Raging Attitude was improving at Harrington before he came here and now draws the rail. He could be a longshot worthy of putting underneath in gimmicks.
$2 WPS 7

Race 14:
Tieler Bea Hotspur had a horrible trip last out as he left out of the gate and had trouble finding a home. By the time he got rail position, he was shuffled out of contention. Then he went on to show decent late pace. There figures to be some good speed in this race and our charge is pretty versatile. Price shot looming if we can connect.
$2 WPS 7

Race 15:
Travelling Boy was a very impressive winner last out and he lucks into this same class. If we see the same effort as we did last week, he is going to be very tough to beat. Dr Dexter's Remedy is the main threat off the back class and speed.
