Monday Meltdown #8

Race 1:
Going to be tough to beat Benn's Wildcat coming off the drop to start the Monday show. Senator Hall was a runaway winner last week so 4th by 15 shouldn't scare anyone. Rail insures solid striking range for his off the trot style. Problem is there is going to be little value. Hoosier Disco maybe the top threat. His speed held up well last start against comeback second place finisher Romeo Ranger. $5 Exacta Box 13.
Total $10.

Race 2:
Big post improvement for Don't Be a Stitch. Last time he was inside he finished second to Firstline Pleasure, who has gone on to two more seconds and a win since. This is a real soft spot. For the back end, Admiral V is coming out of 2 pretty tough races and that last start may have been needed. He's Up N Atom gets Moen back in the bike and he had success with this one in the winter. 3rd off layoff. $5 Exacta 1 with 68.
Total $10.

Race 3:
Going to take a chance and focus on the outside 3 in this race. Wallis aboard Sugar Me Up for the first time and she does have speed to leave from this poor post. KR's Laser Lady gets first time Copeland and she was in a tough bunch last time out. Ladanian is a real question mark here. Has been at the fairs since his good qualifier on July 3 and has been facing very tough competition. $1 Exacta Box 789.
Total $6.

Race 4:
Last time we saw Informality he was knocking at the door in this maiden class back in June. Two starts at the Meadows to no avail and back here with first time Wallis. Trainer Paul Kennedy had a great weekend as all of his horses seemed to fire fresh. This one is coming off of 19 days. $2 Tri 3 with 124 with 1249.
Total $9.

Race 5:
Sluggers Brother makes his debut for a new barn and he appears sharp right now. Made a sharp bid out of the pocket last week just before 3/4s and arrived home under a confident hand drive for a new life mark. A pocket trip behind the decisive speed of Don't Be That Way is possible. $5 WP 3.
Total $10.

Race 6:
Let's ride the coattails of the big sweeping move of Just Wing It. This is a one move horse that was facing a tougher group last week and that was his first try in a month plus. Should be a little tighter and we'll see if he can sustain his bid tonight. Augie's had a huge effort last week and if that didn't take too much out of him, he could be top contender. $5 WP 6.
Total $10.

Race 7:
The dominant speed comes from the outside in Rompaway Yum Yum and Distant Memories. The latter came to a stop last week in the stretch at Raceway while Yum Yum stalked a tough winner in YF Meemo. With some other possible inside speed to complicate matters, let's go from off the trot with Petty Hanover. Class drop and has been steadily improving over the recent weeks. $5 WP 4.
Total $10.

Race 8:
It's probably wagering suicide to go against Cooper's Niece in this spot. She didn't even race her style of race last week and still improved times wise by over a second over her previous efforts. I think Dogwood Ardle is really improving but somehow I don't see where he is going to get out of a first over trip. $1 Tri 2 with 1468 with 14678.
Total $16.

Race 9:
Biggie Size has been parked from the word go for 3 straight weeks but never fear because that is just how he rolls. Obviously faced that tough winner last week and even in defeat has been racing huge. This field is a little softer and there should be some decent speed up top. First time Kramer on JB's Double Desire. $2 Exacta Box 8 with 457.
Total $12.

Race 10:
Tough to ignore the post improvement/class drop/speed of Singin Blues in this spot. Plus Arthur is back and he knows him best. Eye on the Goal is making only his 4th start in 2 years and he weekend on the front end last out but still raced well and could come forward again. If Keep the Change can ever mind his manners, he is going to be one tough son of a gun. $1 Tri 24 with 2479 with 2479.
Total $12.

Race 11:
There are a few sharp ones in here. YF Meemo has looked great since debuting for the top barn in Michigan. Toughest test to date however. Hummin Cummins looked ultra impressive in his victory which figured to be a needed start. Random Flight was real game after being parked for eternity last time out. Winsome Wonder has 2 straight wins at the class. This is a good one to watch.
Wager $0.

Race 12:
How do you go against Bronson Hall in this spot. Comes off a scratch sick and just annihilates them. This is what you call dominant speed and although there are a few with speed in here, it just doesn't make sense to challenge him early. Fantasy Beau was absolutely flying at in the late stages last week. Anything less then that effort however will not catch the speed tonight. $1 Tri 6 with 347 with 347.
Total $6.

Race 13:
Like the chances of Debt Consoliraider in this spot. The improving gelding raced really well last week against a very tough It's Spider. No standout in here and he should be in line for a nice outer flow journey. $5 WP 4.
Total $10.

Race 14:
Going to go with the rail. As If I'm Magic has drawn outside posts in 4 of his last 5 races. Last time with a decent post he races 3rd against a tougher field then we see today. Carlson stays. $5 WP 1.
Total $10.

Race 15:
Star Admiral and Spartan Pride finished noses apart last week in a thrilling finish that saw Star take advantage of the slow early tempo. Probably not going to be as slow tonight but Star has the early speed to insure a good spot where the move outside may hurt Spartan. $5 WP 4.
Total $10.

Total Investment $141.
