Saturday Slam #9

Race 1:
Saturday opener offers us a price opportunity with Margie's Nugget. 4th start off the layoff and a size able drop in class points to her as a viable wagering option. Post may make price. Sharon The Luck should improve with this rail spot. Cowgirl Kelly is coming off of a solid qualifier.
$2 exacta box 129. Wager $12. $2 DD 9 with 34789. Wager $10. Total $22.

Race 2:
It's going to be tough to zero in on any horse here because of the x's in all the lines. Nod to Fire Starter off the solid qua and I am not so sure the 9 post isn't going to help him here. As you can see the rail did him no favors. 5 straight starts from that rail position and 3 brakes. SF Foxy is probably the one to beat based off of the win at this class 2 back. Going to pass and hope the first half of the double comes through.

Race 3:
Last we saw of Recurring Star he raced big against a very tough winner. Bit of a weak field for this class and our charge is coming off of a nice effort at Indy. Singin Blues was a game winner last out and with his speed from the rail, he should be in line for a good trip.

Race 4:
Luke Man rates as one of our solid plays of the night against a pretty suspect field. Had a very tough trip second last out. Draws outside again, but the easier field should cement the deal. 2 Year Old Butn Your Shirt Ed is coming off of a good race at Fowlerville and raced well over this racetrack.
$10 Exacta 8-2. Total $10.

Race 5:
First time at the bottom level for Lady Louise. She has speed to gain an early spot from this poor post and Taylor drove this horse in the past. Granita Hanover gets a positive post shift and first time Carlson 3rd start off the layoff. Red Reba could get a piece as well.
$2 trifecta 18 with 168 with 1468. Total $16.

Race 6:
Annie Annie Oakley is going to be tough as she always is in this class. Success Brings Joy has the rail and a good late kick. Looked a little flat last out but the rail should give her a chance to improve. Not to much value in here however, so we'll watch.

Race 7:
Distant Memories lost to a pretty tough winner last out in Rompaway Yum Yum who enjoyed the perfect trip win. Will be on a speed mission once again. Fox Ridge Michael is coming off of 2 improved efforts at Dresden. He was not in good form when he was here last in June. YF Little Guy came up with an improved effort against easier in his last. Good for a minor share here.
$2 Trifecta 37 with 378 with 1378. Total $16.

Race 8:
HB Carter immediately taken out of the claimer after his impressive win off of an 8 month layoff. He has back class and can fly when he's formful. Second start could come forward and that means trouble for this field. VP Power gets his second start at the class with an improved post. Getcha Sum Fame double drops.
$5 WP 3. Total $10.

Race 9:
Not going to be a whole lot of speed for Lead the Stampede to race at here, so we're going to go elsewhere. Cammabis has been knocking at the door at this class. First time Carlson and he can show speed. Here is hoping he can get the jump on Lead The Stampede, who is without question the one to beat.

Race 10:
Anvil Raider looked very tough last week and his move to the tougher open may provide us some value. His speed should put him in line for a very good journey. Armbro Billow can race from on or off the pace and is always a factor at this class. Nowthatsaplanman is looking for his 5th win in a row.

Race 11:
Shark Dressed Man was absolutely flying last week and we are going with him again. SF Midas is looking to extend his streak to 4 and will offer no value. Cardholder should be in the mix at a price again.
$5 exactas 7 with 13. Total $10.

Race 12:
Coming right back with Firstline Pleasure. Used twice in last weeks win and he meets the same class. Mad Match draws the rail and could be a good longshot to use underneath.
$3 Exactas 5 with 1239. Total $12.

Race 13:
We are coming back with Virtual Cowboy. He was roughed up last week and never found a hole. Hopefully a little better trip is in the offing tonight. Mr Dreamer has speed and the rail and a tough loss last week. Speedy Fleety should be in line for a good journey as well.
$5 WP 6. Total $10.

Race 14:
Going to try Whenleastexpected. She had a tough uncovered trip last week and now draws the rail for a returning Wallis. Lilt is in fine form and had to overcome the lack of striking position last out to finish a good closing second. Fly to the Angels found room last week and should be used again.
$3 Exactas 1 with 2567. Total $12.

Race 15:
Happy Trails To U got caught in a blind switch last week against a little tougher. Gets post relief and she did beat thsi level 2 starts back. Hubastank went a very strong effort last out. First time Wallis and the move to the rail will help him out.
$2 Exacta 15 with 135. Total $8.
