Monday Meltdown #9

Race 1:
Mondays opener gives a big nod to Briar Clip based on sharp recent form. She has battled the tough Selectric in her last 2 and does have speed to overcome the poor post. Dark horse could be Upswing. Here is another with speed and she had a real rough trip last out. Her trip tonight should see her close to the front end. Fine Good has ability, but is coming off of a real dismal showing at the fairs.

Race 2:
Sharp recent form is the name of the game here. Don't Be a Stitch performed very well in defeat last week and he meets a similar field tonight. Bear Cat closed confidently in the stretch last out but does move outside. Bear Cat maybe more dependent on a cover flow then Stich in this spot.
$2 Tri 38 with 38 with 467. Total $12.

Race 3:
Very tough race but the nod goes to Mr C Man. He is coming from a red hot barn right now and this one was shuffled back severely only to finish a good closing 3rd to a very tough winner in his last. Shesapistol gets post improvement and Wink in the Dark was well driven last week in a victory against similar.
$1 Trifecta 7 with 2356 with 2356. Total $12.

Race 4:
Bookie Faurot may have been to close to a pretty fast pace in his last against tougher. Back down to maiden company and he does have tactical speed to get an early spot. Sir Stormy Knight obviously has some ability, but has come up terribly short nearing the wire in his first two races. IF he can put it all together tonight, he has a bit shot. Bolder is a young horse with ability and Just Dud gets first time D Wright.

Race 5:
Divine Wish is winner of 2 of her last 3 and figures to be on or near the lead every step once again. Not alot of speed in here to test her early, so things should be nice and calm up front. Rose Run Joni is a horse that can sneak in there. If Wish can carry the inner flow, Joni should have an optimum path to a money spot. Corwins Sweetie can pick up the remaining pieces with her late kick.
$4 Exactas 5 with 18. Total $8.

Race 6:
Garner Seelster raced huge last out against a tough Spartan Pride. Draws the rail tonight and with the main competition well outside of him, he ranks as the one to beat. Schooner or Later could be a price to throw in there. He was closing fast last week after getting shuffled back. Prince Rave has a shot as well with a good early spot.
$4 Exactas 1 with 389. Total $12.

Race 7:
Post improvement for Lilly Kazzilly gives her a big shot to score here. She raced well in defeat last week despite a crowded cover flow. Nice win at Raceway two back. Tijuana Tag had a tough trip last week and expect improvement with the help in post. Enzo could also come forward after a tough trip in his last.
$4 exactas 2 with 347. Total $12.

Race 8:
I've Got the Desire really put it all together last start as he rushed up from behind to sweep on for the win. This despite a parked mile. Draws well again and Johnson sticks with against this similar competition. Very tough trip last out for Debt Consoliraider. First time Wallis. Shark Lover comes off of a sharp win in Toledo.
$2 exacta 23 with 123. Total $8.

Race 9:
Going for a price with Nochildleftbehind. Parked forever from post 9 in a needed start against tougher. Drops down in class and with a little improvement and a better trip, he can win it. Time for Justice is on the comeback trail after an injury sidelined her for the entire 2008 year. Her last 2 starts were much improved and 2nd time lasix to boot. Rosemarie raced well last week and should be considered off that effort.

Race 10:
Wide open affair but we are going to seek a price with Daylon Blizzard. First time Wallis and he did show a good late kick last out despite going offstride at the start. Tattlers Top Gun gets the slight edge as the one to beat based off of the class drop and post improve. Howdy Partner has the sharp form in his corner right now.
$2 Exacta 13 with 5 and 5 with 13. Total $8.

Race 11:
Still like the ever improving Caballo Diablo in here. This trotter has some ability and has a good late kick to boot. There is some good speed in here so our charge may have some trot to run at in this spot. Winsome Wonder is the one to beat as she had a tough trip in her last. JB's Double Desire has speed and back class as well.

Race 12:
I believe Dogwood Ardle is sitting on a big effort here. his form continues to improve and second time Arthur in this spot. The ultra sharp horses in this class (Cooper's Niece and Howdy Partner) are gone and the other sharp one is out in post 9. Bilmar Prince raced big in victory last out and Day Money showed signs of life last week first off a month and a half.
$4 exactas 5 with 146. Total $12.

Race 13:
Standforsomething has a big shot here against a softer group of $7500 claimers. Can race from on or off the pace and from this good post, we'll give him the nod. FWF Successor made a huge close last week up the inside. Short field should help his closing abilities. Benn's Victory could be in for a wake up effort.
$4 exacta 27 with 267. Total $8.

Race 14:
Dr Major faced a tough group last out and draws inside once again in a wide open race. 3rd start off of a 20 day layoff and he could be sitting on a big one. After that its up in the air.
$5 WP 2. Total $10.

Race 15:
If racing luck were kind to Augies, he would win a lot of races but it doesn't seem to be a friend of the 7 Year Old. We are going with him tonight based on two really nice efforts in a row. Connor Macleod could play spoiler. He has speed from the rail and lucks back into this condition after his win last week. Tough trip for Boy Blue his last out as well.
