Monday Meltdown #11

Race 1:
Briar Clip is going to be awfully tough to beat in Monday's opener. She has been knocking at the door against some tough winners in her most recent efforts. Grand River Ace has the speed to gain position and may get the pocket ride here tonight. D'Jon Henry maybe be able to close for a minor award.
$4 exacta 5 with 46. Wager $8. $2 Tri 5 with 46. Wager $4. Total $12.

Race 2:
St Lad's Bling continues to get better with every start and now has speed and the rail. Post advantage over his 2 biggest threats and that will give him the slight edge. Great Mileage is back against overnites after racing evenly against much tougher competition. Bolder was closing fast last week in the Platinum and maybe the one to beat in here.
$4 Trifecta 1 with 68. Wager $8. $1 trifecta 18 with 1468 with 1468. Wager $12. Total $20.

Race 3:
Going with Four Starz Heart off of the nice qualifier. Showed solid speed and should be on the front end in this one. KR's Laser Lady maybe the best of the rest. She raced well last week losing to a tough Wink in the Dark. Shesapistol can race from on or off the trot.
$4 exacta 2 with 358. Total $12.

Race 4:
We are sticking with Don't Be a Stitch in this spot. Solid at this level last couple of starts and he's right back here with the rail draw. Wash Out showed speed last time over this oval and finished 3rd to a tough winner. First time Wallis on Could Be A Redneck.
$2 Tri 1 with 378 with 378. Wager $12.

Race 5:
If Wheatand Mr can bring to the table what he did 2 starts back, he is going to be very tough to beat. A bit flat last out. Trainer back in the bike and he drove him to him to his monster win 2 starts ago. Little River Dance is the likely favorite as he has been battling tough stakes competition in Canada. Benns Legend draws the rail after two straight seconds.
$1 Trifecta 7 with 1289. Total $12.

Race 6:
SF Everafter closed pretty well against a tough winner and has been improving his last few starts. Scholars Choice maybe the one to beat. Last time here, he had a poor post against tougher. Wattafine Fellow was jammed up last out in the late going with pace.
$2 Exacta Box 349. Total $12.

Race 7:
Another drop for Mr Superstar and its going to be tough to ignore the back class he brings to this spot. Probable favorite is re-teamed with Carlson. Halldor had a tough trip from poor post last out and should be better from the inside. SF Ciro could be a dark horse. Last start here he was 4 wide and after that move hung late in the lane.
$3 Exacta Box 6 with 27. Total $12.

Race 8:
Going to go after a price with Day Money in this spot. 4th start off a qualifier and was used hard early last start. Could be sitting on a big effort at a price. Sale As Is is red hot right now and draws the rail. Mad Match was a nice price for us last week and gets a returning Massey.
$5 WP 7. Wager $10. $2 exacta 16 with 167. Wager $8. Total $18.

Race 9:
Jump in class for the red hot Distant Memories and although his form dictates he is the one to beat, there is some real speed in here so things will be testy up front. We are going to opt for Winsome Wonder. Tough trip in defeat last out and her form remains solid. Can race from off the trot.
$5 exacta 7 with 68. Total $10.

Race 10:
Going to be tough to stop Sharky's Machine in this spot. Closed strong against a tough winner last out and now draws the rail in his second try at this class. Happy Match has speed to get an early spot and may end up with a good trip from here. Gogetembrady raced against tough field last out and is another that has speed to burn from the inside.
$5 exacta 1 with 257. Total $15.

Race 11:
Price shot here in CC Mister C. Closed well 4th start off a layoff and meets a little easier field tonight. Not quite sure what happened to Its Benn Good last start but if he races like he did 2 starts back, he'll be better. Biggie Size is always a threat at this level.
$5 WP 5. Total $10.

Race 12:
Johnny C had no shot against a go away winner last out. Big post shift and although he steps up in class, we think he's ready for a big effort here tonight.
$10 WP 1. Total $20.

Race 13:
Fantasy Beau found himself in an easy spot last out and maybe good for another as he steps up in class. Portland Pete was a distant show to a go away winner last out. Game Belief was used hard in the middle stages in his second start back off a layoff and should improve.
$3 exacta box 7 with 23. Total $12.

Race 14:
Dontpassdamustard was dominant in victory last out as he exploded at 3 quarters and never looked back. Tough to ignore off that effort. Noble Niner could not close into a soft pace last out and could pick up some pieces here. Standforsomething has had some brutal trips as of late.
$5 exacta 8 with 35. Total $10.

Race 15:
Ashley Paige is back against overnites after facing some very tough competition at the fairs and here in the Platinum. Didrickson gets Wallis back and could be sitting on a big effort. Yello Gunnie should enjoy the move to the rail.
