Saturday Slam #12

Race 1 :
First start at this class for Magic Whelan resulted in an improved effort in his 3rd start of the year. Should come forward again. Blue Dahlia is another who is improving since her first few races of the year. She is back in this class after facing tougher claimers. Lisa Childer has speed and usually races well at this class. First time Kramer.

Race 2 :
Admiral's Legacy showed speed last out in the Breeders Futurity here at Hazel and tired. Has the ability to race from on or off the pace and should be more effective against overnite competition here. Bolder drops but the outside maybe a major problem for this guy. Butn Your Shirt Ed made a break last out but the start before that paced a solid 56 and change. Hoping the post makes the price.

Race 3 :
We really like Summer Sizzler in this spot. 6th start off of an extended layoff and he continues to come forward each and every week. 2nd to a very strong winner last out. Meets a short field. He rates high here tonight. Colonel Cam has been door knocking the last few starts at this class and figures to contend once again. Shockbyelectric is in line for a good trip tonight.

Race 4 :
SF Foxy debuts for her new stable after breaking at the start last time out. Start before she made a nice middle move only to hang in the late going against a strong winner. First time Kramer. Lola's Keeper raced an improved back half after securing a good early spot from post 9 in her last. Better post with Wright back in the bike. Super Sting raced her best ever last out. Negative post change but current form merits a look. Also first time Wallis on Muldowney.
$1 Trifecta 4 with 2569 with 2569. Total $12.

Race 5 :
Going to go back with Sharon The Luck in this spot. Pace setter last out suffered a tough loss to the perfect trip of Sheza Sure Sign. Merriman returns to the bike tonight and we will go right back. Dream Wilson raced well despite a tough post last start. Carlson returns. Windy Sun-Shine has the speed to secure an early spot and maybe the one to beat.

Race 6 :
Tough race but it looks like Petty Hanover is approaching a real solid form spell right now. Chased the tough Distant Memories two starts back and closed sharply to win last out. In a good spot to have striking position again and he gets our vote to outclose them. Enzo is another that has form on his side as he was sharp in victory last out. Can race from on or off the trot. Rompaway Yum Yum has been no worse then 2nd in her last 5 starts at this level.
$4 exacta 45 with 2456. Total $24.

Race 7 :
Doc's Awesome has been solid since joining this top stable two starts ago. His victory last week was convincing so the class hike shouldn't be a big concern. Stonehouse Evan makes a lateral move in class from the tough claimers to a high condition level. Speed from the inside with a top stable backing makes him a major player.

Race 8 :
Artistic Heart continues to impress after double jumping the cond claiming ranks to to score an impressive victory. Draws the rail with her regular driver back in the bike. Fitforalifetime draws inside after a game victory in his last. We Can Dance has been getting better and has speed to overcome the poor post.

Race 9 :
Entertaining Invite as Lead The Stampede looks to score his second straight win at this class. He has been solid at this class all year long figures once again to be tough. Nowthatsaplanman is coming off of a huge effort in a lifetime's best 52 and change. Cammabis is coming off of a win in the Preferred at Sarnia after a win in the Open here. It's going to be a good one.

Race 10 :
Rock Bottom gets class relief and post relief in this spot. Has also had some tough trips over the past few starts as well. Could be a price. The Mascot was a little dull last out. If he can race back to the start 2 back he could be a factor. Johnny G Thats Me Raced well a few notches higher in class. Easier competition could make him the one to beat.

Race 11 :
Sharky's Machine is coming off of that 10 length massacre last out. Will we see that kind of effort tonight??? Stonebridge Magnum also looked good in victory last out at this level. There are some other sharp customers in here as well. This will be a good one to enjoy.

Race 12 :
Rattlesnake Jake is our pick for a price. First start in 3 months last out and although it was a second place finish at a fair race going for just $500, the second place finish was to Lindy's Maestro, and that horse was an open horse here. Should be tighter and this field is fairly soft. Let's give him a shot.

Race 13 :
Gina Raider is by far the class of this race. Last time we saw her here, she was bet to smithereens in a class higher, although in a losing effort. She can usually be found lurking near the F&M Preferred ranks here at Hazel. Just Dani went a monster effort last out. Virtual Princess raced very solidly last week against similar.

Race 14 :
Going to try Bavarian Rose in this spot. Shuffled out last week and hung a bit 2 starts back. First time Kramer so lets give her a shot. Ellaraider closed nice last week against similar. Pay Attention Jack is back against the girls 3rd start off a minor layoff.

Race 15 :
Georgie Boy gets a big post shift after a decent effort. Carlson is back in the bike with a vastly improved post tonight. Aztek did all the work last week only to come up a bit short. A major player once again. Bar K Artistic closed sharply last out and should be considered in all wagers.
