Monday Meltdown #13

Race 1:
Wide open affair to begin the Monday card. Briar Clip gets a slight edge based off his speed. No doubt he should be one/two at the first quarter. Not crazy about the win percentage but there isn't a lot of speed in here. A Fillie Named Fred invades Hazel with solid credentials. SF Razamatazz has been improving and now draws the rail.
$4 DD 58 with 5. Wager $8.

Race 2:
Dreamy Amanda has been facing tougher competition up north and she meets a pretty soft field in here. Augies always gives 100% and the trip did not go his way last out. Post improvement gives him a big chance here tonight. Scholars Choice woke up a little last out and gets the same driver that led him to a solid4th place finish against tougher earlier in the year.

Race 3:
Taking a chance with Carolina Shorty. Barn usually sends them ready and he is coming off of a good qualifier. MylittleJ has been consistently knocking at the door as of late and is the one to beat in here. KRs Laser Lady gets first time Moody.
$4 exacta 1 with 257. Total $12.

Race 4:
Going with the same barn we did in the third. Rustler's Better qualified after making a break in contention 2 starts back. Obviously has the speed and this field is beatable. Premier Cami Cane draws the rail after 3 straight door knocking efforts. Luke Man continues to absorb very tough journeys and races well despite them. Poor post again however.
$5 WP 4. Total $10.

Race 5:
Tough field here but let's try Wink in the Dark. Slight post shift for the better may mean he'll be better off in terms of where he is in the cover flow. Poor position has cost him twice in a row. Tough field so we will need some racing luck. Benns Legend maybe the one to beat based on current form. Divine Wish is another that has really raced well as of late.

Race 6:
Going for a price here with Thea's Cam. She has had some real bad luck over the past few weeks. Broke, recovered 4 back/ used twice from post 9 three back/pressured on the front 2 back/and last start was shuffled to last, then came three wide. Johnson is back and the post draw is the best in 3 starts. The value will be there, hope the clear sailing is. SharpshootinAnnie meets a bit easier. Lissy's Dream invades with solid credentials.

Race 7:
Barn debut for YF Little Guy who is coming off of a win two starts back and a good closing effort against the tough Distant Memories. Short price ie better then a long face they say. VT's Gold Key hasn't showed anything since the claim but did show a little life last out after being used early only to get shuffled back. High Jacked faces easier from the inside.

Race 8:
Nascart did not race his race last out as first over is not his game. Moody is back and this horse has a good late rush. Expect better from Virtual Cowboy with the positive post shift in here. The Other Side is up in class but gets Wallis back after a very tough trip.

Race 9:
Well let's try and figure out what SF Stampede's strategy will be. Fly to the front and catch me if you can. It's always a mystery whether he can last or not, as he does without rhyme or reason. SF Midas has had a great year winning 10 races this year and averaging well above $1,000 per start. Bilmar Prince closed well and can be a part of it if the speed breaks down. Let's watch.

Race 10:
Random Flight is our pick here. This one dropped in class last out and had a very rigorous journey from post 9 last out against a tougher field. Better post really helps tonight. Distant Memories has the speed to burn and is another that has played catch me if you can over the past couple of months. Wheatland Mar has really been coming into his own as a solid trotter as of late. Last out he took his mark at BMP and he draws well again.
$4 exacta 6 with 1257. Total $16.

Race 11:
Gogetembrady raced very well last time he was here against a very tough winner in Sharky's Machine (who came back to win here over the weekend). He has the speed to go all the way in this spot. CB Tower continues to round back into form. He had a ton of pace last out towards the finish. JD Johnnie has a tough trip last out and has a wicked late kick.

Race 12:
Will try Grand Hallway at a price. Big post improvement after being parked the mile last out. Tough trip two starts back and the big wire to wire effort 3 back. Moody returns and this one should be up close tonight. Its Benn Good is the one to beat. Win at this class three back prior to the sick scratch. Late brush last out and he meets a little bit of an easier bunch tonight. Gutenburg was even in his last and has the ability to finish with a flourish.

Race 13:
Whatever you do demand value here because any one of the 9 can win this thing. Firstline Pleasure is up in class but she has been razor sharp. Spartan Pride was red hot until he threw in a clunker last out. Portland Pete sheds post 9 after a tough trip.

Race 14:
We really like Jatelo in this spot. Finished a closing 4th to a tough field which included Waterproof (wins last night at RP) and Keep the Change (wins here the other night). First time Wallis. Southwind Mallory has the speed from the inside and should be included in all tickets. Karrydale Intrepid was roughed up last out and should be better.

Race 15:
We are going back to FWF Successor in this spot. He had no racing room in his last but two starts back was a big victory despite being parked the mile. Noble Niner has posted 2 second place finishes to a horse that has been a terror the last few weeks. Cagey Attack closed sharp to win off the qualifier.
