Saturday Slam #13

Race 1:
Reibercrombie endured a tough first over trip last out against the solid speed of Morelli. A bit of an easier race for this talented two year old tonight. Coolhand Luke was a pretty clear winner last out against a few of these and should be up close tonight. Right Back closed well last out despite road trouble.

Race 2:
Just Walter raced much improved from post 9 last out against this bottom cond. level. Moves inside and is without question the one to beat. Red Neck Style is the top threat after his grinding victory against similar. Proudtowintogether has the rail and should trip out to be a part of this.
$4 trifecta 4 with 16. Total $8.

Race 3:
Morelli appears to be the strong leader of this division heading into Night of Champions. His superior speed has been the deciding factor in winning 5 of his 7 career starts. Cf Sting Rei finished a closing second to the above last out and figures to be the one with the best chance of the upset. Bolder has some talent but is still a little green.

Race 4:
SS Winning Colors has been on quite a roll in 2009 winning 10 of 22 starts. He is coming off of another impressive win at RP and his speed should set him on the front end as it usually does. Catch him if you can. Torino could be an interesting prospect here. This barn usually sends them ready and this guy is usually found a few classes higher. Give him a long look. Saint Pat is coming off of a decent qualifier in the severe slop.
$2 trifecta 26 with 268 with 2468. Total $16.

Race 5:
Art's Sweetie appears to be the one to beat in this spot even with the poor post. Tough loss at this level 2 starts back and she made a big move in the middle half before tiring against tougher last out. Swift Terrific faced a tough winner last out and closed mildly in the final strides. Sam's Jodi has hit the board in 2 of her last 3 against these.
$2 trifecta 8 with 579. Total $12.

Race 6:
This is a terrific Platinum Series race here with several talented trotters that are pointed towards Night of Champions. Katkin was a strong winner last out in this series at this track, and has been consistently right there. Motown Dreamgirl was a runner up to the above last out and figures to set the early tempo. ML Brown Sugar is coming off of a 4 month layoff but qualified well and was very strong here as a 2 YO champion last year. This is going to be a slugfest.

Race 7:
Infinite Justice drops out of the Invite ranks where he raced competitively. He is a tough horse when he drops down and that figures to be the case tonight. Summer Sizzler is making his 7th start of the year and is still looking for the winner's circle. He has been knocking at the door in virtually every one of his starts. SF Stampede is up in class but he is going to have an impact here because of his high speed. With all that being said, our pick is going to be Stonebridge Magnum. Up in class but he is a big closer in a race where there will be high speed. Price should be there as well.

Race 8:
The undefeated Media Darling will surely get all the attention here tonight and she deserves it. With wins in the Spartan and Breeder's Futurity, she is looking for one more notch in her belt before Night of Champions here on the 19th. Dani Rei is no slouch. She is only making her 4th career start with 2 winning ones. One in this very series. Problem is she threw in a bit of a clunker at Holland and then missed a month plus. Tweerific is back to back runner up to Media Darling. Let's stand back and enjoy the show.

Race 9:
Change Your Luck made a decisive move last out only to tire in the late stages after not making the lead. That was against the tough Sharky's Machine and there doesn't appear to be a dominant foe in here. T Red is coming off of an impressive win last out and keeps Wallis around. The Maniac was shuffled out of contention last out and should be better with clear sailing in here.
$4 exacta 4 with 25. Total $8.

Race 10:
Invite time at Hazel and this is going to be an interesting affair. Real Samart has a big late kick and raced very well against the ageless Bobnoxious last out at The Meadows. Cammabis just missed against the invading Royalton Star last out in this class. Daddy Mac is back after beating a good field at Mohawk. Sharky's Machine is the hot horse that has been roughing up easier and he meets an Invite group that isn't the toughest. Let's go with the hot Sharky here tonight.

Race 11:
Shockbyelectric figures to be very tough in this spot. Speed and the rail. Class Drop with the regular driver back aboard makes him the one to beat in a big way. Expect better from Doc's Awesome here tonight making his 4th start for top Hazel stable. Getcha Sum Cash sprouted wings last out should be flying late again.

Race 12:
Anvil Raider has had a bad case of the stops in his last 2 races but the class drop maybe the cure to his ailments here tonight. He has back class and he's got speed to burn. CB Tower was flying late in his last out and draws inside so striking position should be available. Rip Daddy was impressive in victory last out. Steps back up in class for a returning D Wright.

Race 13:
First time Moody on Clear the Decks and she is coming off of a victory against this same class. Post hurts a bit but she overcame the post to win last out as well. Afternoon Star has been very good since adding lasix. Minor step up in class tonight. LF Brandon dominated a straight NW2 last time he was here. Speed and the rail makes this one perhaps the one to beat.

Race 14:
Silveresque has back class and continues to drop. Making only her 7th start of the year, she is starting to improve and she draws the rail now. Pay Attention Jack is making her 4th start after a month layoff and is a player in here. CC J Lo improved after a few clunkers. She was real good early in the year and could be headed back in that positive direction.
$5 WP 2. Total $10.

Race 15:
Must Be the Bunny gets first time Kramer and big post relief 3rd off of a qualifier. He is by far our best bet of the night. TJS Berrysanders has been racing well as of late and gets Wallis back. Wattafine Fellow has a good late kick and draws the rail.
