Hazel Park Harness Raceway is located in southeastern Michigan, just north of Detroit, at the corner of 10 Mile Rd & Dequindre in Hazel Park.

The first harness meet was held in the Spring of 1953, making 2009 it's 57^th Season. Known as the pioneer track for being the first 5/8^th mile track in the country, Hazel Park Raceway has attracted some of the nation's top drivers, trainers and equines since its inception.

The track was a dual-breed facility from 1953 through 1984; and has hosted harness racing exclusively since 1985.

RACING TO SAVE MICHIGAN !!

Racing To Save Michigan has begun to circulate petitions to allow the state's five racetracks to conduct casino gaming. If enough signatures are gained, the initiative will appear on a ballot in the November 2010 election. Please sign this petition at a racetrack near you to help save horse racing in Michigan.
